"Mel took on a really dilapidated huge barn project at my warehouse. I am blessed to have hired this group. They went way out of their way to rebuild this barn from new roof, replacing rotting beams to new siding and doors. Attention to detail is incredible! These guys know barns! On time every day, easy to work with. Very fair on change orders due to unforseen rot. I didnt even ask for numbers as our trust was earned in the first couple days. The barn, 1803, looks like new and is the talk of the town! You will not go wrong hiring this company. "Limestone Builders rebuilt our 1863 circa tobacco/corn barn by removing the outside wood siding and replacing it with board and batten siding. They worked with us in making the necessary structural changes and they were able to maintain the character and charm of this historic structure. We are very pleased with their work. "Limestone Builders are wonderfully skilled, hardworking, and courteous barn builders. They were at my farm for 6 weeks in summer of 2020 replacing roofs on two 100-year-old barns and 20 stalls. I had also asked them to make structural repairs as needed. Benuel consulted with me daily about the work that needed to be done to preserve my buildings and made recommendations to extend the life of the barns. As these things go, I ended up residing the large barn and all the stalls. I highly recommend the company as honest and straight forward to deal with. The metal siding and roof work is beautiful and should last decades. One issue arose with water running between the flat roof and the gutter - Mel was responsive and attentive in fixing the issue."
"The first project Limestone Builders did for us was the restoration of our circa 1858 barn with a collapsed bankside foundation. The siding & flooring was removed and the barn lifted off of the original stone foundation. The entire bankside stone foundation was removed and a new 10" thick steel re-enforced foundation was poured. The barn was lowered onto the foundation, new board and batten siding was applied, new wooden floor beams and flooring were installed as well as vents, doors and windows! This job was executed with quality products and professional craftmanship!"
"My house is a converted barn and I hired Limestone Builders to restore the entire downstairs exterior - sliding doors, Dutch doors, and windows. So they weren't just working on my barn, it's my home too, and they gave me something to be proud of. Communication with Mel was excellent and the work is true craftsmanship. A couple unexpected things came up and in each case they took the extra time and did the extra work to resolve it the right way. I couldn't be happier with the job they did."

"I cannot tell you how impressed we were with Limestone Builders! We had 3 giant trees fall onto our barn in June 2020. I have attached some pics. I called 3 different companies for a quote. Mel from Limestone got back to me within a day, and was out to do the estimate within 3 days! The other guys came out to do estimates, but never even sent the proposal until I called them and asked for it several times. Ben and his crew finished our beutiful new barn in 6 days! It was amazing to watch. Their craftsmanship is outstanding. Limestone does amazing work. They are punctual, clean, hard working, and trustworthy. "When our twenty-seven year old barn needed a restoration we decided upon Limestone Builders after seeing the job they did on our brother-in-law's horse barn in southern York County. John, Mel and their crew showed up on the day they said and everyday thereafter until the barn was finished. "Limestone Builders transformed two of our pre-1900 buildings into beautiful structures. For our post-and-beam barn, they replaced support structures as needed including posts. They replaced flooring, straightened the roof line and added the framing for the new roof and siding. In addition to the new roof, siding and trim, they installed louvers, three slider doors, including one with an integrated walk-through door, rain gutters with gutter guards, and snow guards on the roof. For our old tractor shed, they replaced support structures as needed, added a concrete floor and provided a new roof, siding and trim, overhead door, walk-thru door, and replaced framing for existing doors and window. Mel, Ben and the crew demonstrated outstanding communication during the project, skilled and quality workmanship, and attention to detail. They had available when needed the equipment, materials and tools for the projects. They were professional and courteous. They were responsive and accommodating to our questions and concerns. They met all requirements of the contracts as well as additional change orders that happened along the way. They did what they had agreed to do and then some! Their driver got them to the job on time and safely back home each day. Thank you Mel, Ben and crew for a job well done!"
